I'm a big fan of the papercut (Rob Ryan) and papercraft (Makiko Azakami), so it was a bit of a surprise to read on Folding Trees (papercraft US blog) about Bristol based David Brownings Nikes. He's on my doorstop, my blogging self cries!

Just walked past the Emporium on the Croft, and it's looking very exciting.

An all female show - Great Birds of the British Isles is on for two weeks.

I'm hoping to get to the preview tonight (and post pix later).

Mythical Beast Sweet Shoppe

Loving the progress on the Mythical Beast Sweet Shoppe exhib which is being monitored on this blog. It's on in my spiritual home of Weston-Super-Mare from 12 September until 11 October (open at weekends), as part of the Weston Arts Festival, as curated by Camilla.

I'm looking forward to seeing Chip-Fork's flouro prints - in the flesh (as featured in the picture below). And hoping my piece will be finished in time, due to my recent malaise.
